Last Day in Yangshuo

Elizabeth (Liz)

Quote of the day

        "Liz, no" - Iona

Today is our last day in Yangshou. After eating breakfast with Elaine we headed out back to Guilin. Our first stop was the Elephant Trunk Hill, which doesnt actually have elephants, it just refers to a cave that looks like one. Within the park we walked around looking at the lovely sculptures that were spread throughout the park. Our next stop was Fubo Hill, yet another park, this one contained buddist temple remnants which were really cool! We also climbed the tower which gave us a really cool view of the city!

At this point it was lunch time so we had lunch with Elaine and had her order us some tasty meals to try. We then hit our last stop, Reed Flute Cave, which was really cool. I really like how each rock formation was given a unique description of what it kinda looks like, similar to how one would look at clouds. After that it was time to say goodbye to Guilin and hello to Kunming.

After a two hour flight we met with our new guide Rosemary and toured the city of Kunming for the evening, which was really cool kinda wished we had more time. Rosemary showed us the ancient gates throughout the modern city, which again was just really cool. By the time we were done it was time to board the overnight train to Dali and boy were we exhausted.

Thats all for now!
